Real Madrid vs. Sevilla Predicted Starting XI: Marcelo returns to the lineup

Real Madrid will combat Sevilla as they continue their pursuit of first place in La Liga.
Earlier this season, Real Madrid had a troublesome time against Sevilla but managed to return out with a 1-0 win because of Karim Benzema’s goal on the night.

This time, things are a touch different as Los Merengues have found their footing within the competition and appearance sort of a far more solid team than they were back in September. However, an equivalent are often said a few Sevilla side managed by Julen Lopetegui and that they will want to urge something out of the match.

Predicted XI:

Goalkeeper –
Is there anyone more trustworthy in goal than Thibaut Courtois at the moment? The Belgian has been in incredible form during the past couple months and his performance against Atletico Madrid within the Spanish Super Cup will simply boost his morale even more.

There is no denying that he’s someone that ought to be a starter against a robust Sevilla side.

Defenders –
With Zidane as manager, i feel it’s safe to understand what his preferred back-four is. However, with Sergio Ramos injured for this match it’s like some changes will need to be made.

Expect to ascertain Dani Carvajal at right-back as he’s clearly Zidane’s preferred option.

In the center, we’ll probably see a partnership of Raphael Varane and Eder Militao, both of whom are quite impressive thus far this season.

On the left, i feel we’ll see the return of Marcelo to the starting lineup after Ferland Mendy was the starter during both games of the Spanish Super Cup. Marcelo will got to be at his best however, which is why Zidane might imagine twice about this decision before naming his starting eleven.

Midfielders –
I think that we’ve seen the top of the five-man midfield from Zidane as he used it against Valencia and Atletico Madrid – with it only working effectively within the semifinal match. albeit the team must control the midfield, having five men there isn’t necessarily the solution .

Los Blancos were dealt a blow after it’s been confirmed that Federico Valverde are going to be suspended for this match after his red card against Atletico Madrid and thus Zidane cannot calculate the Uruguayan.

Carlos Casemiro will start because the defensive midfielder as he’s always the primary name on the squad list while Toni Kroos are going to be ahead of him to dictate the play as seamlessly as he does during every game.

It looks like Luka Modric is that the best choice to be alongside Kroos but there’s a small worry about his fitness after playing the complete 120 minutes against Atletico Madrid.

Forwards –

The striker is where the most problem are going to be here because it isn’t yet known who are going to be fit and who won’t needless to say yet.

On the proper flank, Rodrygo Goes is that the best choice against a resilient Sevilla team who will do everything they will to prevent us from being slightly comfortable when moving forward.

On the left, i feel that giving Vinicius Junior the nod may do wonders for him and hopefully give us a foothold during this game. As for the striker, it’s like Luka Jovic isn’t fully fit start while Karim Benzema might not be fit either after recently coming back from injury.

Could it’s time to ascertain Mariano Diaz start a game? He impressed within the minutes he had during the Spanish Super Cup and albeit Zidane made it clear that things with Mariano hasn’t really changed, it’s going to be that the French manager simply has no other option as of now.

But if Karim Benzema is fit enough, there’s little question that he will start the match, especially against a team like Sevilla where Benzema’s brilliance is required .
